Race for the Roses Half Marathon (04/11/10)
Aid: Water stations every two miles, I think. Didn't see the Gloukos that was advertised on website, but I wasn't looking for it. Free food and beverages at the end of the race were really good.
Spectators: Lots of small groups of people at different points of the course cheering everyone on. They were a big help during the last three miles. Great to see them all!
Traffic: Only had to stop once to let a car pass through at an intersection in the Pearl District, but overall the police seemed to do a very good job managing traffic.
Race Tees: Simple design and nice quality. Blue's my favorite color, so that's a personal plus for me. :)
Restrooms: Men's restroom in the exhibit hall seemed to be just fine. Avoided the port-o-johns because of a pretty long line.
Green: I'm not exactly sure what this category means: Is it the entry fee? The scenery? Recycling bins? I guess I'll just put down a 3.
Course: Relatively flat and fast. Good scenery until it goes into the NW industrial area, which is pretty boring. Last hill up the Steel Bridge was a killer, but a great challenge.
Awards: Haven't gotten my free finisher's photo yet, but I think it's a good idea rather than a medal since it uses fewer resources.
Overall: I had a great time and will definitely consider running Race for the Roses again in 2011.
