Monkey Run 5k at Centennial Trail in Snohomish, WA. This run is to benefit Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue.

    Nice accessible community run event.

    Nice low key community event with a nice simple out and back run on a paved "trail" that is a former railroad grade. Its not a "scene" or a "happening"... its just a good short run to try to get your feet wet with running events.

    The run has a total elevation change from start to turn around of 7 meters downhill then you run it back. Nice gentle slope. The sponsor "village" is set up along the beginning of the trail just before the start/finish line and not in the way of the start or finish.

    Parking is plentiful both along the street adjacent to the trail and at a nearby elementary school.

    Individual results were posted before the day even got dark.

    Assuming the event goes again next year... I'll sign up again.
