Join us for a 13.1 or 3.1 mile block party.... This year the race will be on May 1, 2010. The 7th Anniversary of this annual celebration of fitness in the City of Columbus will be the biggest and best one yet. We have added a number of new features and partners and a few reall...y cool surprises. The courses are unbelievable tours of downtown Columbus, the community involvement is incredible and the finish line party in the parking lots of Nationwide Arena is second to none. The events are a celebration of athletes, young and old, fast and slow. This is a party you will not want to miss.   Cap city half marathon

  It was rainy but that felt good since the temp was nice. I need to train on surfaces other than the nicely paved trail. My ITB bothered me quite a bit and I walked more than I wanted to. Oh, and I learned to wait in the line before the race for the restroom instead of thinking it would be quicker to at the first set of porta johns on the race track, cuz I wasn't the only one with that idea and I lost a lot of time there.

  Great Race!

  The rain that started around mile 10 was a welcome relief from the humidity. It was not a hot day, about 65 at the start, but the air was thick which we are not used to that time of the season.
