there is nothing remotely technical about this race. There are no "trails," only unpaved road. The unpaved portion is only about 2.5 miles of of the whole race, and it's a wide smooth path. The steepest part of hook mountain is paved.

Post event carbo load party at our home is starting to gel. Let me know if you are interested. Family invited... beer and pasta. And of course some kind of dessert.

My wife is running, and looking for someone around a 10 minute mile to run with. And she is enthusiastic about hosting a carbo load party afterward at our home in Pomona for DM friends and others we know.

Good question... part of this is on the trails, some dirt hills, and the flat gravel area along the river. I'll run it prior and let you know! Or we can go ride there.
