The DaVita Kidney Awareness Run/WalksTM are a nationwide series of family-friendly 5K run/walks aimed at raising funds and education about kidney disease. The 2009 events will feature a screening for kidney disease at no cost, entertainment and games for the whole family, as w...ell as a kidney health expo to help promote awareness about chronic kidney disease. The funds raised for this year’s events will help to benefit The Kidney TRUST, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to prevent kidney disease through public education and awareness across the United States.
