@Mark and Jennifer - Thanks! I thought so, this is a BQ course. I ran tangents as efficient as I could but still end up off by more than half mile... I thought I was on pace getting a PB, I beat my PB by 3 minutes when my Garmin registered 26.2 but didn't see the finish line, when I finally crossed the finish line I was over my PB by 2 minutes... I guess the Garmin went wonky with all the elevation change and tall buildings & trees.

Thanks for dailymile for providing an aid station at mile 15 and congrats to everyone who ran the race!

@Felix, my Garmin said 26.68 total. I really tried to take my turns tight and stay on what seemed like the most efficient line. My sister's Garmin also registered 26.54. I sure felt like being done when my watch said 26.2 :)

@Felix the distance is right if you took the most efficient route on the course. Most people more than the 26.2 distance because they take turns wide, cutting through traffic, etc. and Congrats on finishing!

Anyone who did full with a GPS watch find the course was long? My Garmin logged 43.11k! another guy with a Garmin also said it was about half mile more on his watch...

Keep an eye out for us at mile 15. We're hosting an unofficial aid station with Mr. Pibb and Redvines and bacon (I know... crazy but so are y'all for running 26.2!).

We're headed to 21st Amendment afterwards to toast the finishers. 5pm. Details here: http://www.dailymile.com/people/simpsoka/entries/2564467

Have a fantastic race on Sunday and We'll be cheering for all of you at mile 15!!!

I hope to make it to the meet & greet with fellow dailymilers. If I don't get an opportunity to meet ya'll, have a great race! Would love to get a picture taken with as many dailymilers as possible. Will be wearing a pink monkey t-shirt race day. Hope to see ya out there.

    Have FUN and RUN,
