A lesson in humility
Well that wasn't very much fun. The leg injury I thought I had under control during my long training runs, reared its ugly head early and often... just like voting in Chicago. I started feeling it at mile 4. By mile 10 it was so bad that I probably would have stopped if I had seen my family. But I kept going, adjusted my gait, adjusted my expectations, stopped to stretch at almost every mile, and finished. Not exactly the time I was looking for, but I finished nonetheless. It was pretty freaking hot too. Probably 60 something at the start, and mid 80's by the finish.
So I guess I should get my knee/hamstring/groin looked at. I am major league bummed. I should have taken care of this months ago.
