Not get to the starting line too early and just try to enjoy seeing all the people. GoRun (and people like you!) have made racing welcoming to 10 minute milers like me.

I'm surprised the 5K makes you nervous. Those are easy for you. I don't get nervous before a 5K--I think because I've done so many. But for the 10K we did, I was very anxious. For me, if I get to the race too early, I have too much time to think about it. I need to get there and go.

I wish I could do that. Unfortunately the meal plan in itself requires that I think about the race at minimum 48 hours before. Also all the crap you need to have sorted before a triathlon can't be put together that quickly. Ahh, if to be a runner. Shoes and your off. lol!

#dailymission "How do you calm yourself before a really big race?" Why would I want to be calm? Adrenaline is power, baby.

#dailymission - How do you calm yourself before a really big race? Get up early. Eat my pre-race peanut butter, banana and honey sandwich. Run my warm up. Talk to people.
