Would you do a race just for the shirt?

  1. #dailymission"What is the strangest thing that's happened to me while working out?" I would have to say having a close encounter with a skunk out on the highway - it was one of thos... read more

  2. #dailymission - I was about 15 miles into the Toronto marathon when the half marathon front runners started catching up to us. When the lead women passed me I was at first surprised that an ample ... read more

  3. #dailymission: Would you do a race just for the shirt? I go for the GOLD!

  4. #dailymission - No, but when I get around to doing Pike's Peak marathon and an Iron Man you can bet I'm wearing that S*#t every chance I get.

  5. #dailymission More than one race. Actually, six races for the shirts. Three half marathons got me a Half Fanatics shirt, and three marathons got me a Marathon Maniacs shirt ;)

  6. #dailymission- I honestly don't race for the shirt, medal, or trophy. My closet is full of them. I race for time; to see what I can do and compare my effort with my peers. All that is great... read more

  7. #dailymission maybe if it was a WVU Nike Dri Fit. Maybe.

  8. #dailymission Would you do a race just for the shirt? A race would be the least embarrassing thing I've done for a t-shirt.

  9. #dailymission No, but I'm definitely excited when "Youth Large" is one of the size options. It's the same size as an Adult Small but has shorter sleeves and is four inches short... read more

  10. #dailymission Nope. I appreciate some of the shirts I get, but not all. That's especially true if I order a Large and the shirt doesn't fit. Some larges are larger than others.

  11. #dailymission Would you do a race just for the shirt?

  13. #dailymission why yes, yes i would. they're like trophies to me. i can wear it and have it as a conversation topic. "see my t-shirt? yeah, i ran that sucker and earned this"

  14. #dailymission I would have to say that even as a casual racer, I've accumulated so many race shirts that I was starting to get them in my kid's sizes but realized they couldn't wear ... read more

I see many race shirts at thrift stores. They are high-tech and cheap, but don't feel like buying them without racing haha.

  18. #dailymission NO i would NEVER do a race just for the shirt. You'd think race organizers would recognize the fact that the majority of the people running are pretty fit and not a size xxxxxxxx... read more

  19. #dailymission ummm no.... I'd do one for a cool medal or belt buckle. I'd rather have the option of having a discounted race because I didn't want a shirt.
