      I guess that would be this Weds. when I did my first century. Wanted to throw in the towel & just do a 40, but I didn't want my demons to beat me so I found the motivation to go farther than I ever had...

      Thanks Kirstin! With events testing my limits this fall I'm, of course, in the middle of lots of training that will do the same now + humidity! You know the drill, even if you're not doing the same at this moment :-)

      That's one part of summer I don't like. I cut back a little because of the heat and then have to ramp up quickly in order to be ready for a marathon in November. While I am out running during the summer, I think about having to increase the distance and how difficult it is going to be. But once the weather gets a little cooler, it ends up being a lot easier.

      I don't have an answer for that question yet either. I've never believed that I couldn't run something, it's matter of balancing the run with the aftermath recovery time of it. That's why I like shorter races, less recovery time!
