Trail running is my favorite. I don't know anything about which bike to buy. I have one that my son in law gave me. I do not know if it is a trail or road bike. I need to get on it and start riding some. I just can't seem to stop running long enough to ride. :)

#dailymission Today running a wooded trail and riding on the road. Tomorrow maybe switch it around. A lot of options in the summer in Alaska.

Trail running, no doubt! But as far as the bike goes, I am an oddball. I have a MTB. But the heavy MTB with 2" knobby tires could not keep up with the speedy squirrels on the Sunday bike rides. So I put a pair of 1.5" road tires on my MTB so that I had a chance to keep up. Now I have the worst of both worlds. I heavy MTB frame with tires too skinny and slick to handle the off road trails! Ha ha ha!

I am too slow for road biking and too much of a chicken for proper mountain biking... I guess I am more the (mountain)bike and hike type...down I would prefer a lift...

To be honest, I think I'm too chicken for mountain biking too. Also pretty chicken on the road bike - the good thing about being last in tri's is that the scary fast people are already out of your way!

#dailymission Trails definitely trump streets. No doubt. And as far as running barefoot, most dirt on trails feels far better than chip-seal and getting stopped by the police on streets.

#dailymission Epic, my tri bike. Riding on the highway since there are no paved trails for biking. Running; trail running. Love the unpredictability of the terrain. Love adventure. :+)

yeah i gotta do one! skip, i know what you mean, there are no trails in nyc either! just the bridle trail in central park and that is more of a path through the park...lol.
