Lots of scars, I'm not sure sure they're cool though. Every time I start to recount an epic story about a race and being brought down in the final sprint for the line the standard response is 'so you fell off your bike!!!'. It doesn't matter how you dress it up, the crux of the story is always the same lol

#dailymission I don't - YET. I've been looking at designs for a few months and I'm waiting until I find one that I feel fits me and the journey I've been on. The ideal? Maori in... read more

Why Maori? Is that your heritage? I like the rest of the concept. A friend of mine got the Chicago Flag tattooed on her foot but instead of the 4 red stars it's 2-6-star-2 for the marathon distance. It's pretty cool. I'd consider getting one, but as a Jew I've not gotten comfortable with it personally. More and more Jews are getting tattoos thou. Good luck finding an appropriate design! I'm sure it'll look great.

Ethnically I identify with being South Korean - family heritage is Irish and English, kinda neat what being adopted will do ;) But in all seriousness, I think this link will give you a better idea of why Maori - though I might just go and try and find one for one of the programs I'm trained in! http://www.lesmills.com/Community/blogs/kiakaha/archive/2006/10/08/kia-kaha.aspx Have to admit, Ben, if I were Jewish I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with getting a tattoo either.

#dailymission I do not have any tattoos, but I promised myself that if I ever qualify for Boston, I will take the plunge. I just hope I'm not too wrinkly when the time comes :)

You'll run at Boston someday. It's just a matter of time. It will happen sooner than later if you decide to really go for it.

#dailymission I have always been sort of against tattoos (on me) but lately I've thought that if I ever run a marathon I would get a small tattoo to commemorate it. I hope it happens someday :)
-
Me too--no artwork on me, either. MAy I suggest a TEMPORARY tattoo? Some of the triathlons that Scott and I have been doing have included some cute designs in their goodie bags. Plus--you can always wear whatever "bling" they give you the next day: bragging rights, girl!
-
I've said that if I ever Qualify for Boston I will get a small tattoo. Seeing that it is extremely unlikely that I will ever get that fast, I guess I'm safe. :)
