If you could go back in time to watch one of your races as an observer, which would it be and why?

  1. #dailymission - my home route is a loop in the 'hood that is pretty much exactly 5K and pretty flat. I have a 'work route' too, that is partially XC around a pretty pond and also jus... read more

But the lesson you learned in the struggle is truly what made you stronger, isn't it? We don't seem to learn life lessons when it is easy. It is the struggle that teaches the lessons for those that care to learn.

Whoooooa, that is an epic race. I've heard great things about that course, too. One of these years I'd like to get up there and do it.

I also liked your 4x800 anchor at East Palestine when you had to catch the canfield girl from behind or your open 800 in the indoor track at akron in the preseason

Pacing comes with time (or a garmin), neither of which you have had much of. It's taken me the past two years to re-learn pace to the point I can roughly guess my speed, and I've had help from my garmin. Patience young jedi, patience. You are getting there.

You will get there, Justen. I don't worry about going "all out" during training runs, but I know it's frustrating to feel like you left something on the table in a race. It's a tricky balancing act.
