Whether you wanted it or not, what is the last piece of advice you got about running/biking/swimming?

      Not really advice, rather 'constructive' criticism. "You can't take an hour off your best time in a tri in only 12 months. You haven't been putting in the hours upon hours upon hours of training like the pros." Hmmm, going from rookie year to sophomore year alone allows for the potential to be much faster!

      That may be a good warmup or a good exercise. Not sure it is sound advice for running.

      Not sure. I tend to think you kind of run how you run. Your stride length increases with speed. I find I am more shuffley and side to side on uphills and in slower, longer stuff. My understanding of the minimalist shoe/barefoot idea is you run more on the front of your foot. I feel this is true, but my shoes still wear out on the outside of my right heel first.

      Yep, I have no clue. I use to just put one foot in front of the other. Didn't seem to be treating that bad so far (or so I try telling myself). Now that I am trying to pay attention to the form, it is not as enjoyable.

      heat can be murderous, but maintain the electrolyte and hydration levels and sail through it.
