:( aww... poor you. My heart broke a little for you when I read that race report. I still giggle at the ape visual, and I'll remember it on Sunday too, I'm sure. It will give me both strength and a smile. We all get spanked from time to time but you've shown yourself and the world that you don't stay down for long. Wow, Ben! I'm being sentimental! Sheesh.

I cannot agree more. During my military training, I did a lot of running (this was a decade ago) and I pretty much thought I'd never be a runner at that point because I associated running with pain, discomfort and boredom. Now I have more than 6 pairs of running shoes that I circulate regularly!

I couldnt image ever spending that much on shoes but since I started running 18 months ago, those shoes make all the difference. I have two pair of Nike Lunar Glide 3's and I've asked for pair number 3 for Mother's Day. Most comfortable running shoe ever. And the 3rd pair? Just to wear out and about. :)
