I should have run in hs. At 29 I started cycling. At 34 I started road racing bikes and at 50 I started running seriously for fitness and health. Now I'm enjoying trail running.

Biking & running since the 90's then 2 years ago I really got into running which earned me a "most improved" hoodie in the WFM Green Trek Challenge. After a lousy 2011, Green Trek & DM have caused my wrkouts to skyrocket again!

#dailymission I have had 3 phases of running-in my teens, in my 30s and now in my late 40s-mid 50s. This last time around, it has been 9 years, and has encompassed 16 marathons and 20 half marathons.

So true. It feels great to run past people 20 years younger, and still have a lot of improvement left for many years to come.

The nice thing is that your shoes last a really long time when it's one run every 10 years... and that's even enough time for the colors to come back into style.

I like a combination of Jack Daniel's and Steve Magness' training philosophies, but no training plan would be complete without reading "RUN" by Matt Fitzgerald. -
