How do you stick to your workout routine and avoid making excuses?

  1. #dailymission - Workout...no excuses? I put my clothes and shoes on before my brain fully realizes what is going on.....

      The left and right sides of my brain aren't on speaking (telepathic?) terms so it takes a while before they figure out what the rest of me is doing. My medulla oblongata generally just rips on both of them.

      That's why I work out in the morning, my brain is still asleep and so my body doesn't realize the abuse I am putting it through :-)

  2. #dailymission I remind myself that I will regret that extra 30 minutes on the couch, I won't regret running those 2.5 miles. I also look up running motivational things on pinterest.

  5. #dailymission I have a border collie. If I miss a run or a bike ride with him, he will let me know about it.

      Guilt does work. If I think I'm going to wimp out, I tell my co-worker what I'm going to do because she always asks the next day and I don't want to have to tell her nothing.

  16. #dailymission I schedule them a month or two in advance, and if I cancel they charge me 15 bucks a cancel. It's easy to stay motivated that way.

      This year I challenged myself to run every day, even if it's only for a mile. So far it's working for me :-)
