We eat GU: GU Roctane and GU Chomps review
Eating calories on a long run is a no-brainer. So as endurance athletes, we’re constantly trying out new types of fuel during our training runs so that we know what works when it comes time to run a marathon or beyond. When it comes down to it, GU is goo. While they all seem to boast roughly the same amount of calories, and some have caffeine (some don’t), the flavor is what helps keep the GU from coming back up … Continue reading

Running shoe review: Saucony Fastwitch 4 vs. Brooks ST 5
Off the bat I have to admit, I am not a white running shoe kinda guy. I like color. Both of the Saucony Fastwitch 4 and the Brooks ST 5 shoes are for people that like color on their feet. Saucony has played with color and put out some fun shoes and great designs. My shoe pick of 2010 the Saucony Kinvara comes in some great color choices including fluorescent lime green and their brand color ViziPro, a fluorescent orange. … Continue reading

It’s time to celebrate the season: Beer running, winter edition

To help us get organized in our celebration efforts, Caleb, Brodie W. and I have put together a list of our favorite winter brews. The three of us come to the wold of … Continue reading

Brooks Beast 11 Review:
Is it Worth its Weight on the Run?
Anyone who has serious pronation issues and/or is concerned about their weight and running shoe support are typically guided towards the Brooks Beast. It is one of the most reliable structured motion controlled shoes on market and is considered an “old faithful” kind of shoe within the running community. With the release of the Brooks Beast 11, Brooks remains at the top in the motion control shoe market, providing more support with better balance in comfort and feel. A few … Continue reading

Thomas N’s 2010 Picks for Runner’s Stocking Stuffers
In thinking about my list this year I narrowed it down to five items I use and love. After I compiled the list, I contacted four out of the five manufacturers to see if they would provide incentives for Dailymilers to try their products. I like these products so much that even if they offered nothing to the community I would still recommend their products. With that said, ALL four of the five I asked have a deal for you. … Continue reading
